Nagara / Sikhara style:

Nagara / Sikhara style temple that became popular in Northern india is known as Nagara. These temples are further divided into two types:

1. Pyramidal Style
2. Latika Style

नागरा/शिखर शैली:

उत्तरी भारत में लोकप्रिय हुए नागरा / शिखर शैली के मंदिर को नागरा के नाम से जाना जाता है। इन मंदिरों को आगे दो प्रकारों में विभाजित किया गया है:

पिरामिड शैली

लतिका शैली

Pyramidal Style:

These are Sikhara temple, with amalaka at the top,crowned with a chhatra /kalasa.

Some of these temples have a mandapa in front,which sometimes has a sloping roof. Such temple are available in Chamba, Mandi, Kangra, Baijnath and Kullu. Shikra is the tallest tower of the temple. Sikhara is the tallest tower of the temple. It is typically in pyramidal in shape.

पिरामिड शैली:

ये हैं शिखर मंदिर, शीर्ष पर अमलक के साथ, एक छत्र/कलसा के साथ ताज पहनाया गया।

इनमें से कुछ मंदिरों के सामने एक मंडप है, जिसमें कभी-कभी ढलान वाली छत भी होती है। ऐसे मंदिर चंबा, मंडी, कांगड़ा, बैजनाथ और कुल्लू में उपलब्ध हैं। शिखर मंदिर की सबसे ऊंची मीनार है। शिखर मंदिर की सबसे ऊंची मीनार है। यह आमतौर पर आकार में पिरामिडनुमा होता है।

Latika Style:

These temples are similar to Pyramidal temple but differ from them in as much as their structure in the exterior designing projects stones arranged in tier system resembling temples.

Such temples are available at Balag, Hatkothi, Nirth in Shimla district.

लतिका शैली:

ये मंदिर पिरामिड मंदिर के समान हैं, लेकिन मंदिरों के समान टियर सिस्टम में व्यवस्थित बाहरी डिजाइनिंग परियोजनाओं में उनकी संरचना के रूप में उनसे भिन्न हैं।

ऐसे मंदिर शिमला जिले के बलाग, हाटकोठी, निरथ में उपलब्ध हैं।

Wooden Temple :

These temples are further divided into two types:

1. Pentroof Hill type Temple
2. Pagoda Style

लकड़ी का मंदिर :

इन मंदिरों को आगे दो प्रकारों में विभाजित किया गया है:

शिवालय शैली

Pentroof Hill type Temple:

These are rectangular stone and wood temples with Pentroof made of stone tiles and are the most ancient in the state. The quality of wood carving preserved in these temples are remarable in the Lakshna devi temple at Bharmaur, Bijli Mahadev temple at Kullu, Sakti Devi Temple at Chatrari, Chamba.

पेंट्रोफ हिल प्रकार मंदिर:

ये आयताकार पत्थर और लकड़ी के मंदिर हैं जिनमें पत्थर की टाइलों से बने पेंट्रोफ हैं और राज्य में सबसे प्राचीन हैं। इन मंदिरों में संरक्षित लकड़ी की नक्काशी की गुणवत्ता भरमौर में लक्षना देवी मंदिर, कुल्लू में बिजली महादेव मंदिर, चतरारी, चंबा में शक्ति देवी मंदिर में पुनर्निर्मित है।

Pagoda Style

These are rectangular stone and wood structure with successive roofs,placed one over the other making them in some cases multi- storey edifies. These temples have Chinese or Tibetan influence in their architecture. Such temples are available at Mandi, Nagar, Nirmand etc.

पगोडा शैली

ये आयताकार पत्थर और लकड़ी की संरचना हैं जिनकी क्रमिक छतें हैं, जिन्हें एक के ऊपर एक रखा गया है, जिससे कुछ मामलों में इन्हें बहुमंजिला बना दिया जाता है। इन मंदिरों की वास्तुकला में चीनी या तिब्बती प्रभाव है। ऐसे मंदिर मंडी, नगर, निरमंड आदि स्थानों पर उपलब्ध हैं।

Domed Shaped Temples

These temples are Bulbous or Domed like structure. These temples have Muslim influence in their architecture because in some of these temples even brick and lime mortar have been used.

गुंबददार आकार के मंदिर

ये मंदिर बल्बनुमा या गुंबददार संरचना हैं। इन मंदिरों की वास्तुकला में मुस्लिम प्रभाव है क्योंकि इनमें से कुछ मंदिरों में ईंट और चूने के गारे का भी इस्तेमाल किया गया है।
