Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), Eastern Railway, Kolkata has released a notification for recruitment against Scouts & Guides Quota for the year 2025–2026. The vacancies include 3 posts in Level-2 (Group ‘C’) and 10 posts in Level-1 (Erstwhile Group ‘D’), covering both Eastern Railway and Chittaranjan Locomotive Works (CLW). Candidates must possess the required scouting/guiding qualifications along with the essential educational criteria to be eligible for these posts.

The online application process begins from 09 July 2025 and continues till 08 August 2025. The written exam is tentatively scheduled for the second week of October 2025. RRC ER Scouts & Guides Quota Recruitment 2025 Age Limit

The age will be calculated as on 01.01.2026.

• Level-2 (Group ‘C’):
  • UR: 18–30 years
  • OBC: 18–33 years
  • SC/ST: 18–35 years
• Level-1 (Group ‘D’):
  • UR: 18–33 years
  • OBC: 18–36 years
  • SC/ST: 18–38 years

Additional age relaxation is available for Ex-Servicemen, Widows, Railway employees, PwBD, and Apprentices as per rules.

RRC ER Recruitment 2025 Selection Process

The recruitment process consists of two stages:

• Stage I: Written Test (60 marks)
  • Objective Questions (40 marks)
  • Essay Type Question (20 marks)
• Stage II: Marks on Certificates (40 marks)
  • Participation in National/State/District level events, specialized courses, etc.

Candidates must qualify in the written test to be called for document verification and medical exam.
