Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Environment Management: Master’s degree in Environmental Science/ Natural Resource Management/Environmental Engineering or equivalent with First Class.
• Social Management: Master’s degree in Social Work with First Class.
• HR: Post Graduate Degree/Diploma/MBA in HR/Personnel Management/ Industrial Relations with a minimum of 60% marks.
• PR: Graduate with full-time Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in Mass Communication/ Journalism with 60% marks.

Age Limit

• Maximum Age: 28 years (as of December 24, 2024).
• Age Relaxation:
  • OBC (NCL): 3 years
  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • PwBD: 10 years

Power Grid Officer Trainee Recruitment -2024 Selection Process

1. UGC NET December 2024: Candidates must appear for the UGC NET exam in relevant subjects (codes: HR – 55, Environment – 89, Social – 10, PR – 63).
2. Shortlisting: Based on UGC NET scores.
3. Group Discussion: No qualifying marks but an important stage.
4. Personal Interview: Minimum qualifying marks:
   • General/EWS: 40%
   • Reserved Categories: 30%
5. Final Weightage:
   • UGC NET Score: 85%
   • Group Discussion: 3%
   • Personal Interview: 12%
