The Indian Air Force (IAF) has issued the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) 2/2024 Notification for the recruitment of Commissioned Officers in the Flying and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) Branch. The AFCAT 2 2024 Notification was published in the job publication on May 25-31, 2024. The online application form registration will be open from May 30 to June 28, 2024.

AFCAT 2 2024 Vacancy Details and Qualification

AFCAT 2 2024 Age Limit:

• Flying Branch and NCC Special Entry: 20-24 Years on 1 July 2025 (born between 2 July 2001 to 1 July 2005, both dates inclusive)
• Ground Duty (Tech/Non-Tech): 20-24 Years on 1 July 2025 (born between 2 July 1999 to 1 July 2005, both dates inclusive)

AFCAT 2 2024 Selection Process

The NCC Special Entry Candidates are exempted from the written test. They will be directly called for the AFSB. The selection process for AFCAT 2 2024 includes the following stages:

• Stage-2: Air Force Selection Board (AFSB)
• Stage-3: Final Merit List

AFCAT 2/2024 Syllabus

The standard of the Numerical Ability Questions will be of Matriculation Level. The standard of questions in other subjects will be of graduation level. The AFCAT 2/2024 Written Test Syllabus is given below:

• English: Comprehension, Detect Error in Sentence, Sentence Completion/ Filling in of correct word, Synonym/ Antonym, Cloze Test or Fill in the Gaps in a paragraph, Idioms and Phrases, Analogy, Sentence Rearranging, Substitution in a Sentence/ One Word Substitution.
• General Awareness: History, Geography, Sports, National & International Organisations, Art & Culture, Personalities, Environment & Ecology, Indian Polity, Economy, Basic Science Based Knowledge, Science & Technology, Current Affairs (National & International), Defence.
• Numerical Ability: Decimal Fraction, Time and Work, Average/ Percentage, Profit & Loss, Ratio & Proportion, Simple and Compound Interest, Time & Distance and Races (Trains/ Boats & Streams), Area and Perimeter, Probability, Number System & Number Series, Mixture & Allegation Rules, Clocks.
• Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test: Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning
