Indian Coast Guard Assistant Commandant Recruitment- 2024 Eligibility Criteria

General Duty (GD)

• Educational Qualification:
  • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with Mathematics and Physics at the 10+2 level.
  • Candidates with diplomas must have Physics and Mathematics in their curriculum.
• Age Limit:
  • Born between July 1, 2000, and June 30, 2004 (inclusive).

Technical Branch

• Educational Qualification:
  • Engineering degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical, Marine, Automotive, Mechatronics, or related disciplines.
  • Electrical or Electronics Engineering disciplines are also eligible.
• Age Limit:
  • Born between July 1, 2000, and June 30, 2004 (inclusive).

Indian Coast Guard Assistant Commandant Recruitment 2024 Selection Process

The selection comprises five stages:

1. Stage I: Coast Guard Common Admission Test (CGCAT):
   • A computer-based online screening test with 100 multiple-choice questions.
   • Subjects: English, Reasoning, Numerical Ability, General Science, Mathematics, and General Knowledge.
2. Stage II: Preliminary Selection Board (PSB):
   • Computerized Cognitive Battery Test (CCBT) and Picture Perception & Discussion Test (PP&DT).
3. Stage III: Final Selection Board (FSB):
   • Psychological Test, Group Task, and Personal Interview.
4. Stage IV: Medical Examination:
   • Conducted at Base Hospital, New Delhi.
5. Stage V: Induction:
   • Training at the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala.
